This is the "Ronald McDonald Hair" yarn, spindle-spun - the first I ever made. The top skein was done out of the "mystery fiber" that came with my first spindle kit, and the second was some Romney I was given at my learn-to-spin class. Then Daughter and I attacked it with some Cherry Kool-Aid. Neither one of us expected such a vivid color to come out of it, but there wasn't very much yarn, which makes me wonder if it's just that oversaturated. But it rinsed clear, so it must have all stuck...
This is the Lilac Mystery Fiber I've mentioned previously - I think there's about an ounce there, and I think it came out to about 35-40 yards. It's a lot finer and a lot more even than the red stuff, isn't it? Also spindle-spun and plied.
